I've just added some new functionality to the site... If you look up there ^ somewhere you should see a link that says LZ- Live - click on this to get a lovely constantly updating live feed with previews of whats been written in each post. It's been a while, but I've finally gotten time to sort out the gallery, for sale and reviews section coming soon...

OK, landyzone is now back to the standard software and has been fully updated to the latest version of vbulletin. There are still a few bugs to iron out and the gallery/forsale/reviews section wont be updated for another few days or so. Sorry about the time taken to get us back! :)

If your reading this then you are now browsing landyzone from its new home on another server... Problems with the old server meant the site was lagging quite badly the last few days. Should be ok now :)

Over the last couple of days I have upgraded all the software that runs this site. I'm still not finished yet and there will be bugs... If you have any problems posting in the forums then you may have to do a hard refresh. To do this hold down your CTRL key and press F5. The gallery/reviews/classifieds sections are not complete yet, but should be finished today.

I've just found a promising looking new website. Located at http://www.landroversreunited.com this is a well designed Land Rover version of friends reunited. You can enter details of land rovers you own or have owned and hopefully when the database is built up you will be able to do searches for land rovers you used to own and see where they are now. The site has only just started so many features are not yet available but you can enter your land rover details and browse other landrovers. I've just uploaded the photos from today's funday at Briercliffe near Burnley.. It was another good day out and lots of fun was had by all by the looks of it! I have added a new section to the site for product reviews. This is for us all to share our experience with various land rover/4x4 accessories. This section will take quite a while to build up, but everyone can help! Anyone can 'upload' a new product, and anyone can review that product once it has been uploaded. You do not need to own the product to upload it but if you review the product then please do so only if you have actual experience. We want all products to have at least one matching photograph, so please remember that before uploading. Please let me know if you think the categories could be arranged better or added to, it's been quite a bit of work to get it all going so my head is a bit fuzzy now! :) Just click...

After several requests we now have a classified advert section for members to use to sell or buy land rovers or land rover products. Posting for sale or wanted ads is totally free for private users. Commercial users are asked to link back to us from there own website before they use our classified section. (better than having to pay though!:)) The only thing in this section now is a test DiscoIII advert just as an example. Only adverts with pictures are displayed on the featured adverts display, you are advised to always use a photo, but this is not compulsory. Please feel free to use this system! At the moment all registered users are free to post adverts, this may change if things do not work out.

The photo gallery has had a bit of a refurb! It's looking much better now and a lot of the bugs have finally been ironed out!

I have integrated the alt.fan.landrover usenet newsgroup into LandyZone. This gives us access to even more land rover information and more people to interact with. If you make a post in that section then it will be sent out into the newsgroup. Please read the announcement in the alt.fan.landrover forum for more information. You have to have over 10 posts to be able to post a message into that section, this is due to posts being sent all over the world and not just remaining on our server :) we don't want annoying people to abuse the newsgroup and tarnish the landyzone name, do we! :)

Links have started to be placed and adverts are in the making. LandyZone.co.uk is finally with us..... Although still in a state of test for the rest of April, we have opened our doors. Please take a look around and if you find any problems let me know by filling in this form here or posting in the TEST area which will be closed and deleted at the end of April. We are looking to recruit moderators and other staff in the coming months - if you feel you are up to the job then please contact us here. The Future We are not sure what the future holds for LandyZone - only time will tell.
