At long last the Minion Mobile is on the road, Flew through the MOT yesterday n taxed her this morning, 200 metres to the tesco petrol station already saw one poor bloke walk into a lamp post lol..... so today was roof off and a few test runs to give her a shake out after 6 years off the road...

Me.... Any body give me a clue to the size of the metric female connector needed to attach to the clutch flexi on a disco / defender 300tdi, the clutch pipe I have just received has a female connector the same size as the one that attaches the brake pipe to flexi pipes and it is slightly...

My 300 TDI seems to be misbehaving, she isnt using any water but as she runs the header tank level goes up slowly (very slowly) and the system pressurises. after about 150 miles the header tank will be up to the neck and water level can be dropped by releasing the air out of the stat housing...

What a fantastic start to the day, answered a for sale ad on lro for a rear wheel carrier, ad said bought 1998 , good useable hd swingaway wheel carrier, quick trip round the m25 to collect for £55 thinking a clean and paint n it'll do for the 110, needed a heavy duty one due to the 37's, anyway...

Well the custom intercooler was crying out to be fitted so one of todays jobs was to plumb in the top mounted cooler on fabricated brackets n see how it all went together....... brackets made n all plumbed in with lots of shiny pipe :) apparently shiny pipe n silicone hose gets you a minimum...

had a bit of a lull over the last 2 weeks so knocked things up a notch, all the new shiny bits arrived... rdx bonnet, custom intercooler, lots of shiny silicone, polished tubing, crystal headlamps, HIDS and new grill n surrounds so this evening saw me.... fit the new RAGE grill ... definitely...

Right following on from a test yesterday I've decided 46" tyres are the way forward.... the only stumbling block are wheels... xzl's etc all come in 20" so does anyone know of a company that make 20" modular or the like.. maybe even mach 5 style in 20" with an et of -50... Well the more I drank last night the better my idea seemed so cracked on this morning after a strong coffee or two.... An 8ft tall defender was clearly going to cause issues when I needed to work on the engine so after 3 litres of frosty jack I decided on a flip front... Brackets made n welded...
