    When the initial gasket blew I was mid on the way to London, by the time id realised it was overheating, I had driven a good 10-15 mins as my tracking was knocked off road so my steering wheel perfectly covers the temp gauge... Doh! Blew the rad and changed the head, all new gaskets all round...

    White smoke is coolant being burnt Blue smoke is oil being burnt it looks predominantly white suggesting the engines using water? it also looks a teeny bit blue however could be video quality smell your coolant, does it smell like exhaust gases? if so you HG could be on the way out

    Sounds like the timings off by a tooth. Wouldn't run if the sensor was bad.

    Try bleeding your clutch at the slave cylinder, if you open the bonnet bottom left, remove the dust cover and bleed as normal, if that doesn't sort it replace the slave

    They certainly look like rivets; that being the case whack the head off the rivet with a sharp flat blade/chisel and jobs a good'un!

    Coolant reservoir cap? How do you know its exhaust gasses? Does the coolant smell fumey?
