Yeah that's what I'm not sure about. I know that the D2's with the HK audio system have the amps under the passenger seat. Mine doesn't have one, but does appear to have a loose loom connected under there. I wondered if it was just a case of plugging in the amp under the seat and away we go.

Hey Guys, Got a Disco 2. No amp currently fitted. I've recently replaced the head unit, and would like to upgrade the speakers and fit an amp. If I were to buy a disco 2 amp off ebay.. would it be a case of just plugging it in or do I need to rewire and mess about? Any help appreciated...

Ah now that's interesting because I heard that somewhere else but couldn't find any reference anywhere else to it. So, if the motors ARE in the light unit, I wonder what they require to get working? I assume that if the lights are secure and level, then the motors should still function...
