Today got very stressful. What started out as a fairly small hole with a plan, got bigger and bigger. Even heavy taps with a pointed hammer didnt reveal much. However as soon as the welder touched it was like a lighter on a rizzla... hence the multiple patches. The hole got bigger... Also...

It was one piece, laser cut, press braked and some manual bending with tabs. Brackets and gussets welded in afterwards. Fits to the car like everyone elses, one fixing on the bulkhead bolt. Couple on the outriger. I see what youre thinking and I quite like that idea and I have thought about...

Dont know tbf, certainly wont be doing myself at this stage without more space. Not fond of a 6K bill either.... So not for now.

Exactly that! Glad I had them! Yeah standard on the TD5s+ which is nice! Decided while the 110 will be up in the air for some welding. May as well sort the other patches that need doing, mostly the rear under seat xmember bit. And touch up the underseal before winter fully sets in.

Yeah doesn't look fantastic.... Got plenty of underseal to splash in there, ill add drain holes as suggested!

Well it had a new rear xmember about 3 years ago so reluctant to do an extension at this stage. So for now will find the extent of the rot, cut and weld.

Mixed day. Lanes where amazing up around Snowdonia, really enjoyable. Had the 110 at proper 45° was a VERY squeaky bum time! 1st low on tickover, was concerning but survived. Clutch hasnt slipped at all, so im hopeing it was water or oil that had migrated in and now burnt off...

Well it hasnt gone well so far 😂 didnt even get to wales before my mates car decided to have a sticky injector so hes being towed.... Same car also has a a VERY noisy diff so im in West Wales getting a short nose rear diff 😅
