    Superwinch spares

I am overhauling a Superwinch LP8500, and need a brush spring ( the one that looks a bit like a lughole). They don't seem to be trading now in the UK. Any suggestions where I could find one gratefully received.

    Son missing

I've been sitting here trying to think of something to say, but no words could come anywhere close to the grief you must be suffering now. Know you're not alone, and if a collective hug from all LZ'rs can help, know you've got one.

    What's this thread?

It joins the rad balance tank, permitting coolant to flow between the header / balance tank and radiator.

    What's this thread?

The larger thread is 1/2"BSP, so tomorrow I will be drilling and tapping the brass adaptor to BSP, which means I will be able to use a 90 degree bend and hose adaptor I have to hand. Problem solved, thanks to everyone who responded.

    What's this thread?

The pipe shows signs of having been brazed while in place. If I bugg3r the fitting removing the pipe I want a fighting chance of replacing it.

    What's this thread?

Sorry James, my first post wasn't clear. A 14mm spanner fits the nut.

    What's this thread?

The second pic shows where it comes from. The OD is 12mm, and the thread pitch is (as far as I can see) one thread per mm. My local hydraulic shop is open on Monday, so I can take it in there to see if they can help.

    What's this thread?

Does anybody know what this thread is? It's on the radiator fill / balance pipe, coming from the header tank. The rad is from a Disco, and none of my various pipe fittings fits. The local plumber shop can't help either. It seems not to be BSP. I need to fit a new bit of tube, but don't want to...

We would really like to be there, but babysitting duties in London have us pinned. Will mentally pay my respects on the day.

    Message re Marc Cleave

Thank you for taking the time to tell us during such a sorrowful time. I suspect your son lived as much in his short life as many do who live to twice his age. Condolences to you and all his family.
