lol it's hard wired, and it's not cheap ;) I tried two cheap ones too, as I said, none connect - not had chance to try car yet but will let you know how it goes :)

A 2005 Freelander 1.8 petrol, there is power through the OBD socket but three different code readers all fail to establish a connection. Any fuses or suggestions to try please? :confused:

Yes, fuel to the plugs. The engine turns, then after a couple of splutters, sometimes tries to kick backwards. Do these engines jump the timing?
