    Electric Seats

Everything works fine. I am begining to think it may be an extra connection for electric seats with memory (which mine doesn't have).

    Electric Seats

I removed the drivers seat from my Discovery TD5 (2000). When I put all the connector back there is one connector with no where to go. I can't remember if it was plugged in before or not. It's the one in the foreground with the black & red wires. Any ideas what it is or where it should go?

Change front spring without removing shock turret

I changed both front springs without removing the shock. I pushed the base of the shock upwards into it's housing and used spring compressors to compress the springs. No need to remove the shock :)

    TD5 Automatic Transmission

Got the parts and put everything back together today, and put in the new oil. No leaks and the gear changes are nice and smooth :D

    TD5 Automatic Transmission

Engine running  thats where I went worng. Thanks for your help. I've found the fault. The garage who carried out the last service did not replace the washer on the filler bolt  That's why there is a constant drip.

    TD5 Automatic Transmission

I've had my Discovery (2000) for about 3 months now and am getting round to sorting all the (minor) oil / fuel leaks. The last one I could see appeared to be a constant drip from the Automatic Transmission oil filler/level plug. I removed the plug to check for seals etc. I have read the...

    TD5 Heater Problem

Hi, thanks for your replies. I'll check the handbook and I do run in on AUTO & ECON. As long as it's not faulty then I'm happy :)

    TD5 Heater Problem

The hot air is initially nice and hot, but after a short period, cool air starts coming out of the windscreen vents whilst the air coming out at my feet stays warm. I'm not sure why they would be different. I have it set on auto at about 20-22, with econ selected. I don’t really notice it on a...

Discovery 300tdi project and full rebuild.

I was really enjoying reading about this rebuild, then it all just seemed to go wrong :(

    sagging rear step

Strut arrived today with the top hole having been drilled out. It went on without any further problems and works great. They do not supply the rubber boot, so remember to keep the one from your old strut. SGS were very helpful and I replaced my strut for a total of £23.15 inc P&P :D

    sagging rear step

I tried to fit it today but things were going a bit too well. Instead of being completly seized, the two nuts came off without much trouble. :) When I tried to fit the new strut, I found it just slightly too long, and I was unable to compress it by hand  Also, the hole at the top of the...

    sagging rear step

Hi, I am also looking for one of these for my Discvery Series 2. Does anyone has an old one that still works?

What have you done to your Landie today.

Hi, I'm new to the Forum (and Landrovers), but over the past week I have changed the front coil springs on my Discovery (TD5 2000), replaced the battery, and still have discs and pads on the rear to do. Oh, and the ACE pressure gague needed replacing as well. Just wear and tear really so I don't...

    Defender 90 TD5 Indicator/Fog light issues

I had a problem with the right indicator causing the rear fog lights to flash. It turned out to be a dirty connection on the plug that goes into the rear lights. I cleaned the centre pin with a nail file, and that was it - works great :)

    Hello from Broxburn

Hi, I've just bought my first Landrover. It's a Discovery TD5 from 2000. I have attached a few pictures (from the previous owner).
