    Diff lock on a td5

Very handy! I'll get in touch with the local breakers and see if I can get a linkage off a 300tdi for now trying to get it prep'd for the least cost involved as my house appears to be a hell of a lot more crappy than we expected when we bought it. Thanks for the advice, oh and the early...

    Diff lock on a td5

Yeah, I have traction control, but I'm wanting to start taking it into the muck and anything that will help it keep rolling will be appreciated as putting a winch on will have to wait a while due to cost unfortunately.

    Diff lock on a td5

Hi all. Am I right in thinking that a diff lock linkage will allow me to connect up the lock on my 98 TD5? If I can, how much are the linkages going for and are there any extra brackets needed? Cheers.

Has any one used these re map guys?

The only way it would burn out faster is if it was done badly. Manufacturers do it with their different power levels, so a good remap will do no more harm than if it came out of the box that way. My opinion mind, not wanting to start an argument :)

    steering box

I would recommend taking the drag link off when you do it as you can check the steering box for tightness after adjusting while doing a lock to lock check.

    lifting questions

I have lifted my disco 2, and it handles better than it did before. I went for the heavy load kit with shocks and the disco rolls less and smoothes out the bumps better. The car has 140k on it and touch wood all seems well. I would recommend some extended brake hoses as well, especially if your...

Margate sea cadets pride and joy stolen! last seen heading to Maidstone

That is absolutely shocking. Some people need to be neutered so they can't breed more scum, preferably with a vice.

    Tyre Size query

Cheers. Checked out the sticky and it says for discovery1, will this be the same for the 2. Only reason is I have been told that for one o the tyres sizes which says body mods are needed on the link, no mods are needed for the 2. And yes, new glasses sound essential! :)

    Tyre Size query

I'm lifting my discovery2 2 inches and was wondering what would be the best option for a bigger size tyre to fill the arches on standard alloys. Was thinking 265/75/16 but would they catch? Also after a bit research the 265 or 255/70/16 could be a better choice due to cost.

    How do all

Hi. New to the Land Rover scene and must say I'm loving my Discovery. It is a 98 TD5 manual and is awaiting a 2 inch lift kit. Itching to get it on the brown stuff, but need to sort out some tyres first. Here is a pic of it after its first wash!
