    Mine was the same, used nuts and bolts to reattach to the brackets. Changing the pump and filter wasnt as bad a job as i was expecting it to be, took me about 2 hours all in.

    That's what i'm thinking (maybe getting paranoid), i'll have a look at the other side tomorrow when i check the near side I checked the seal etc yesterday and all seemed fine, no corrosion etc, the piston seemed ok a swell, i'll give everything a good clean up and move the piston in and out...

    Hi All, How hot should the brake disc's on a TD4 get during normal driving conditions? I have a binding brake on the passenger side which gets really hot (fixing it tomorrow) i have been checking the drivers side one and that seems to go from luke warm to hot depending on how far i go...

    The door latch/lock unit is inside the door, it does does central locking and is the bit that locks the door, i think theyre about £60-70 ish, theres a guide on here on how to replace, it took me about an hour to replace (if you have small hands)

    Hippo, The guy that did the job said the the rear wheels were spot on, he showed me on the computer everything he'd done (not that i had a clue what he was on about!) they also have a live feed to the tv in the waiting area so you can what them adjust etc. Dont know hif he measured the rear...

    Dont go for 2nd hand tyres mate, friend of mine bought 2nd hand tyres and the shreaded...not good, im not.flush with money but i read that the only thing between you and the road (and disaster) are the tyres.you run on, so bought some falkens for £120 fitted each and they are great.

    Thanks for the info, i can here the pump in the rear prime, then all seems to settle down ok....ill keep an eye on it and see how it goes. I have a 100 mile round trip (motorway) at the end of the month so will see if it does it on this.

    Thanks for the ideas, its just hit 70k does the fuel pump show any noticable symptoms when on thwe way out?? Im replacing drop links at the weekend so will have a look at the other bits while im dirty
