Is the vaccum control filter also known as the pollen filter? Apparently - according to the mechanic - there is some diesel been found in the breather valve and its pumping out a lot of smoke when you rev it high. He thinks the turbo is on its way out!

Anyone?? Ive had a mechanic look at it and he cant find the area that this picture was taken either? My engine is the BMW automatic diesel. Thanks

Finally solved it - the brake light switch behind the pedal had broken down and had shorted the new bulbs I had installed, so make sure you install new bulbs after replacing the brake lights witch if changing the bulbs doesnt work.
