just a little tip i thought might help... the same o ring that seals the fuel injectors fits the fuel pressure reg a treat

all done now, super glued the spacer and went a rummaging round me local motor factors and bought half a dozen o rings and one of em was bang on...

hi to all, i need some help and the local and main dealer can't help me!!! i've just changed my fuel pressure regulator and where the pipe fits into the fuel rail there's a small grey plastic spacer/seal and an 'o' ring... i've snapped the plastic seal and the 'o' ring looks well past it's use...

sorted now, turned out to be the VSS and TPS... changed em both and running like a good un

finally found the culprit(s)... and the problem???? the Throttle position sensor and Vehicle speed sensor BOTH cream crackered!!!! after emptying the cats, changing the fuel pressure sensor, checking fuel pressure plus replacing the fuel filter, asking loads of questions on 4 forums, loosing...

when running on petrol, she will not rev past 1550rpm, feels like the ignition is being shut off momentarily, out of gear/in park or neutral (it's a 4 speed auto) with the wheels not turning she will happily rev to over 4000rpm and will hold any revs for as long as you care to rev it... if i...

also, if it does have a limp mode, when it's in limp mode, will the engine management light come on????

can someone tell me if my discovery (year and model in title) has a 'limp mode' that if the ecu detects a problem (from one of the sensors, etc.) it will cut the revs to 1550rpm... i'm on other sites asking about my problem and i'm getting more than one person tell me that the ecu on my disco...

i've heard that an alternative to the plastic airbox found on discoverys, you can fit the round metal ones from either a range rover classic or an early/200 discovery... the plastic airbox fitted to my lpg fitted 95 3.9 v8 discovery has a rather large crack in it from a lpg related blow back...

answering my own, and perhaps someone elses question, nope no resetting or fettleing of the FPR, just replacing...

well my last post was a bit premature... she's still doing the limp home thing, now i'm thinking fuel pressure regulator can anyone tell me if these can be reset, stripped or in anyway fettled or should i just go buy one??

looked at the shock.... not that double checked the caliper.... not that so does that leave just the stubb axle inner or outer seal or is there something else???

sorted now... turned out to be a wire that links both tank fuel cut off solenoids shorting out she's purring away now... on lpg, just got to change the cats and fingers crossed she'll run right on petrol too!!!
