    Freelander tappits problem

    It's a 2.5 V6 automatic. They said it was very noisy and the tappets were worn. They're generally a reliable local garage. I just wonder if it's worth spending all that money on this age of car. They also said the exhaust would need changed soon. I'm thinking if I do get the repairs done...

    Replace tappits

    I've just had 2001 Freelander V6 (43000mls) in for a service and have been told that the tappits need replaced within 2000 miles at a cost of nearly £1000. I haven't noticed any problem - is this normal?
