It was ali, I know not the best, probably like for like, but has done the job and it was free, which was handy as recently lost me job!

Just a quick note to finish, have had an insert welded in and new hole drilled and tapped. Good as new and back on the road! At least I saved a load of petrol money! Thanks to all for help and advice! Cheers Chris.

Hi mate, There is just not enough there, current plan is to get this hole welded up, as I am told this can be done in the ali pan, and then get a new hole drilled and tapped! Unless I can locate a 2nd hander in the meantime! Cheers Chris.

Hi all, The drain plug thread on my sump pan has had it! Someone has already stuffed it with a helicoil which was not correctly fitted and has come loose! I have been told there is not enough meat on the pan now to fit a new helicoil, so does anyone know where I can get either a new pan, 2nd...

Thanks guys, The 'spring' appears to be uniform as it were, ie not rough like maybe a ripped out thread might be? At the end there is like a manufactured bulb of metal on the end? Weird!! But not good!! Thanks for your help, looks like I will be looking into this helicoil kit thing then!

Morning all, When I bought my disco I was told it was a millenium edition,there are no badges etc that say this, is there like any one way I can tell? i.e is there an item of spec that is only found on this type or something? Did the millenium edition have a badge? Thanks for any info.

Hi all, My brother has a freelander 1, this morning when pushing the remote button all the other doors lock and unlock fine except the drivers door. This will unlock fine with the key manually. Can you steer us in the right direction anyone? Thanks for any help!:confused:
