    The only way I can explain it, is I had the wires going from the metal holder, to the bulb bayonet, and one filament in the bulb was lighting up- the brake. I couldn’t get the rear light to work at all

    I didn’t think it was at first, so I carefully lifted it a tiny bit, still nothing. I tried replicating the holder, with 2 wires, coming out the holder, and touching the base of the bulb- and even then, the rear light filament wasn't lighting up.
