    My heart says a series 2a or 3, but my head says a defender 90 200/300 tdi. Not going to do much mileage or any serious off roading. Will be used mainly to transport me backwards and forwards to my allotment, carrying bags of soil, plants and mucky tools.

    Actually, new to LandRovers. Lucky enough to have recently taken early retirement, and am looking to fulfil lifelong ambition of giving a good home to a Landy. Thought I had better read up as much as I could and ask all of the daft questions before I take the plunge though.
