yes i would agree with you, now iv put mine back on i can tell the difference, iv just been to windsor from dover and used the same amount of fuel, so i was wrong on the fuel saving :(

ok i will give that a go tomorrow after work,no i don't use low range i take it the best way would be to turn the spline on the motor to move it round or take it off and move the spline round,

hi yes when i was putting it back in i did test the shaft and moves ok,

hi striped the motor and changed the grease and marked it up before striping down, refitted motor with no change, still in low, i did notice that the selector lights are flashing ? iv changed the ECU as it blow just before it went into low, anyone have any ideas please

hi yes i read it correct, the hi / low motor drys up and they striped it down and cleaned it out, replaced the grease and worked as it should, as mine is stuck in low gear and wont go back into hi,iv no intention in removing the transfer box just the motor

i was reading on here that the grease goes hard and stops it from working as it should if not used often in low range,

hi all is there any set way to remove the transfer motor, i can get it out so far but not all the way, as iv read on here i need to clean it out and add some new grease as its stuck in low gear at the mo,:( many thanks shane

hi i found the cores of my problem, my range had a hot start gizmo fitted and the wiring had broke on the join on the blue and Gray wire ,rejoined it and now is fine but i cant see how this affected the gearbox though? is it linked some how, many thanks pshane

hi i done the oil filter and Lucas in my gearbox, iv done a 100 miles in her and now wont change out of first gear? went for a drive today about 20 miles, went to go back out and stuck in first, has any one got any ideas what's happened most how can i fix this problem thanks pshane

iv added one bottle of Lucas, the guy i got this off was quite meticulous about his range rover and has been well looked after, you would not think it was a 20 year old motor, it is mint,

thanks guys its only 1st to 2nd , iv added some Lucas when done the oil filter, how long would you say it would take for the Lucas to work? many thanks Shane
