Hence the jailbroken requirement. Although I could of course add devices to my developer account which would allow to the IPA to be installed via iTunes (you would need to download a developer profile to the phone first) but numbers are of course limited.

I've never developed for any other platform to be honest. I just write tweaks and apps for iPhone!
