L series power mods - collecting parts...............

Anyway it'd be nice to see things develop as I have a lot of interest in the old distributor pump type diesels, a dying breed now commonrails are the norm but I'm very much a fan.

You know that smell when you keep knowledge contained at room temperature a bit too long? Bit like that. Brains need to be used or refrigerated (Sorry Dan, nothing implied!)

L series power mods - collecting parts...............

Dan told me about this thread, I thought i'd have a look in but unfortunately I only have time to give it a 20 second skim (knee deep in a university assignment, and residential course next week) There's a lot of talk about misinformation etc, we never go out of our way to mislead, however...

may not be popular... lowering a FL1

there's a lot of compromise within engineering, so by and largely the more you give one direction, you take with another. So you can't really make things better or worse, you just arrange things to bias in favour of your own interests or goals. The child i think is a moot point by and largely...

may not be popular... lowering a FL1

But what if you crash? It isn't safe  Nah, I'll be honest I love threads and projects which break the mould. Someone once told me a 500bhp FWD diesel wasn't going to be very effective on a quarter mile dragstrip. WRONG.

They are a bit 'special' to work with...

    Tuning the TD5

Yeah it's been a busy year, as you know I went to get Darkside Dev. got them set up with getting their remaps and tuning done in house as they were working as an agent back then, it was a very busy year but before I left I managed to find the time to squeeze in some rovers and l-series turbo...

    Tuning the TD5

I lurk on here a bit as I get the odd request to tune a TD5, it's nice to see my name indirectly pop up, so thought i'd register! The 212bhp L-series is mine. The 212 is the highest reading i've got out of it yet, it's actually a bit of a tale of woe if i'm honest as the guy I had rebuild my...
