    Bonnet pull return spring

Yes it's the spring on the catch, there was definitely one on it. Might just have to buy a selection box of springs and hope there's one to fit.

    Bonnet pull return spring

Hi guys, we replaced the bonnet pull cable on my TD4 but managed to lose the small return spring on the bonnet release catch. Does anyone know what size spring I need or where I can buy a replacement, can't find one on ebay just boxes of assorted springs. Thanks Dave

    Loss of power

When I had the filter off I ran the pump and it pushed fuel out ok. Maybe it's a different matter when fuel line is connected and it has to pump to the engine ?? Is that the pump next to the filter in the wheel arch ? Think I've seen them at around £140 does that sound right ?

    Loss of power

Hi guys, urgent advise needed please. Lost power yesterday pulling away from a junction. It kept going but very low power. When I stopped it at work it wouldn't start again. Towed it home and changed fuel filter as I had one in the shed. It started straight away and I thought I'd cracked it...

    Unidentified noise, any ideas ?

I've had a noise coming from the freelander for a while now which is driving me mad. It sounds like a brake binding. Just had new hand brake cable fitted as it failed m.o.t and thought that would cure it but it hasn't. It's most noticeable if you drive slowly then dip the clutch. I have A.T...

    VCU is it ok ?

Done the test. Not very technical I'm afraid but here's what happened. Just under 1 meter bar, just under 5 kg weight, the wheel turned slowly and weight dropped smoothly through about 90 degrees to the floor. From what I've read I'm happy with the result, what do you guys think ?

    VCU is it ok ?

O.k. guys so I've got the back wheel in the air, I haven't got a long bar but going to borrow one later. I have turned the wheel by hand and with a short bar on one of the wheel nuts. It turns slowly and needs a fair bit of pressure but feels to turn smoothly. Is this how it should be. I've seen...

I'll try it when I get chance. So are you saying if the front wheels spin then it is not going into 4wd ?

    VCU is it ok ?

Just fitted a set of General Grabbers A T. Not done many miles but noise doesn't seem too bad and steering seems lighter and more responsive than before. Think I will have a look at the egr bypass next. There's a few on ebay with quite a price difference. I thought the stainless steel one would...

Just fitted a set of general grabber AT. I think it will be enough for me without the lift kit, but thanks for the info.

    VCU is it ok ?

I'm using the car, ( actually its the commercial version ) for shooting and carrying my dogs about, so will be going off road. Nothing serious, wet fields, muddy tracks etc. I took it up the river bank near my house last night which is fairly steep with no problems so I'm fairly sure it's in 4 wd
