Hi Annie
@Landylady666
Once again bless u for being so kind in such thoughtful appreciation, thk u so much
Good to hear u made some progress, don’t worry I think we all turn the air blue when things just don’t go according to plan , lol
Know what u mean with regards to those cables, indeed ur see that they slot in so to speak , where the outer cable sleeve ends I put a small cable ziptie to secure the outer cable sleeving to the actuator one end and handle the other preventing the cable from coming out of the relevant positions
As a side note ref the interior lights I changed all of mine to leds and therefore reduce the battery being drained , hope pressuring the centre light button worked for u in turning them off temporarily
Plse let us know if u get stuck on anything else and can dig out pics or details of that will help u further
As always a great pleasure to help another D3 / 4 owner , plse don’t answer if u don’t wish to but out of curiosity are u in the Uk , ie north or south plse , many thks
Ps, like the wood burner u have , I Useto be a heating engineer for 30+ years , involving putting in new liners , boilers etc , gas and oil , also not forgetting we love piccies of landies plse so would be awesome if that’s k to ask if u may have any of ur D4 plse , also very jealous of ur workshop
