    can any one help with the id of the pinion oil seal, I have removed the pinion flange but the seal i have from paddock's looks wrong, when i did order it some time ago there was quite a list of parts so poss mixed up, the part no on the box is MR 14091 and is made by Karsons on the invoice sheet...

    Was in halfods this morning and found above for 50p, checked at tills and went back and took all they had. This may be just a mistake in my local shop (Bangor, North Wales) but if not you could grab yourself a bargin just not in Bangor any more, they are in my house.

    Thanks JS The block is red, did the later engines not have the tapping for the "cold start" light sensor? How old is this engine?

    thanks for your reply, I think the bit about clamping the rear flexy was a bit of a red herring, tried again and pedel went to the floor. however i have found the frount o/s cylinder is a little damp, the fluid level hasent been dropping.can air get in here?
