Thanks. Should there be a bush on the rod or should it just be a lot tighter then mine was?

Added the above pictures. The first picture is the bracket with the ovaled hole and the second photo is the rod that seems to attach to the steering box. This bolt wasnt tight when I removed it and it looks as though the bolt if I can call it that was moving in the hole.
