I have just had the wheel in the lap issue this evening.
It happens exactly as you describe. I let it do it's thing when I put the key in, wheel down to the lap etc. Then used the electric adjust lever to lift it all the way up and all the way in towards the dash.

I need to replace the RHS Wood trim next to the Sat Nav screen.
I have the part but don't know how to swap it out.
You say it is just 1 torx screw, can you tell me how to get at it?

That's a shame there is a small fuse below the large black plug that connects to the radio in the boot area and I believe that was the one they changed.
I used a 4x4 specialist called Les Potts in Sunderland in Tyne and Wear.

Sorry to hear about that, it's rubbish to think you will have to pay that amount of money for a known fault.
Land Rover should cough up and help us out with these things.

Just joined today about 3 minutes ago actually.
Anyway just had the exact same thin on my RR. It turned out to be some slight corrosion on the connections that feed the radio behind the left hand cover in the boot.
The radio is hard to get to as it is the lowest unit in the area and...
