In that case I'd take the oil cooler housing off again and check it for flatness as well as anything else it has attached to it and that it is attached to.
I know this is a very old thread, but I’ve been experiencing the exact same problem - a crack around the RH bolt of the oil filter housing, only I’ve now gone through a total of 3 filter housings in a just over a week (and lost a lot of oil)...
Never heard of them cracking when driving, I’ve broken a few getting seized oil filters off though where people have over tightened them.
Where are you getting the replacement filter housings from?

I’ve removed my engine as one of the core plugs had completely failed (underneath the FPR).
Obviously makes a lot of sense to do some maintenance while it’s out!
Gonna change all the core plugs and there’s quite a bit of red stuff...
