Hi mate. If you are considering breaking for spares I will take the engine, all ancillaries, pipework etc.
Been looking for an engine for a while now and you are only about 15 minutes away from me.
Let me know
Thanks

Messaged you @JohnM70 if 1 is still available?

Mine rusted through on the passenger side, causing the mount to break away from the crossmember. I took the body off and found a lot more rust than expected. I did make a new crossmember out of large steel box section, but I didn't think it would last so I am now getting a new galv chassis :)

I've had mine for about a year now, had no problems as of yet

Alright guys, just letting you know about my interior light in my defender. Spent about £7 on it and i think it's the dogs danglies.

Hi,sorry about late reply.. Better late than never yeah I did it with a compressor mate, a rubbish one as well.. It was a 50ltr but I had to keep waiting for it to recharge.. My advice is don't go matte black unless you want to be repainting it every 8 months, it fades so much

Are you still wanting the sun visors? They are in good nick just need a clean up which I will do.
Thanks,
Calum

Cheers guys, I'm pretty confident with my welding skills and am sure I can do it myself.. It's just easier with a crossmember that I can cut up rather than make it all myself

The rest of the chassis is fine! I know the guy I bought it off and he rebuilds land rovers for a living. My one used to be his and he used it a lot and looked after it. It passed the mot in feb and I said to the inspector to give it a good beating underneath to make sure it's all solid. He said...

It's 22 years old, it ain't new  but yeah I see what you mean. Basically I need to keep it on the road to get me to and from work till end of December... Then I will buy a car and use the landy as a weekend thing and start to invest a bit of money into it

The rest of the chassis is in good condition, it's had its fair share of welding but it is solid.
And I may be young but I do know what I'm looking for and what goes wrong when it comes to my defender I've owned it for like 2 and a half years and I work at land rover, jaguar as an apprentice...
