Well thanks for that but having followed the thread I will not scrap it just yet. That said I was looking for a D1 but settled for a D2 after having one previously with no problems. Thanks guys for the info.

Did this myself 3 years ago to my D1 and it was simple. No previous experience. First thing you will need is a good grinder and plenty of cutting blades as everything is festered and will not come off with a spanner. Also saves a lot of time. 2 Axel stands and 2 good ramps + 2 trolley jacks...

Anyone give me a clue pls. I have 3 lights on my dash (ABS) (TC) and the one with the Landy going down hill and ! next to it? Came on all at once. I am driving with shades on to deaden the glow. Not sure whats hapening but I heard Bing Bing Bing one morning on my way to work up the forest road...
