Freelander, original version or fl one ?

I wish there was a thanks button :) Power, around 125/150 would be nice, still my current car is around 300 with the remap (Leon cupra) and I hate diesels, but something's need to be derv powered. I'm happy to retro fit the fl front and the interior, I guess I could also consider things like...

Freelander, original version or fl one ?

What can be done to give the l series a bit more umph, and when was the td4 introduced ?

Freelander, original version or fl one ?

Ta, quite a number of Freelanders have very few owners, I've seen a number of 1 owner cars with full history on autotrader. There is one locally a 02 car that's just had a new clutch and dmf and prop bearings, dad has a freelander sport since 2004 and its been as good as gold.

Freelander, original version or fl one ?

Just curious for those that have owned either version or even both. Out of the original td4 and the facelift td4 other than the looks is one much better than the other ? The reason I ask is that I might be looking at an early diesel and wouldn't want to spend any more than 4k but if I could...

stolen black 90 ??? Lincolnshire Rutland border?

I'm sure I saw that on the back of a recovery truck heading towards Peterborough, complete with squished roof

    Problems or not

The freelander 2 even with 100k + still fetches enough money, I think I would prefer to go for the last of the mk1 rather than the first of the mk2's. I'm watching a few different cars on autotrader and the only ones selling are mk1 Freelanders.

    Place yer bets...

I know it's no consolation but you can hire a car for less than £100 a week, it might be an additional cost but might mean you can work and not lose customers.

    dropped mpg

Not sure if I'm making this up but I thought that fuel stations used a winter mix diesel to stop the waxing in the colder months which resulted in higher mpg. Have you done the other basics like checking the air filter and also tyre pressures ?

    AH, gone and forgotten

1.8 is ok, the 1.6 is a pile of poo, dmf is a problem but it's the dpf, egr, turbo and few other bits that cause major issues ;)
