Has anyone swapped a 300tdi transfer box into a td5 my td5 has centre diff lock but transfer box has died I have 3 tdi transfer box in the shed and just wondering what needs to be swapped so it will work with traction control and what not any replies much appreciated

My 300tdi has sort of stopped at the minute due to starting the business will be documenting the build yes customer has to save up some money first im just going to be doing all the welding work and he will be doing the mechanical side of it as he doesn't own a welder but I don't mind that

Looking good, happy new year I've been a bit in hiding the last while started my own business up in middle of lockdown so been busy with that have just given a customer a rough price to rebuild his series 3 109 chassis so may give you a shout on some of the repair panels

was towing a heavy weight the other day and auto box temp warning came on went off after letting it cool down now every time I drive it after 5 min the light will come on drained the sump today and replaced oil hasn't made a difference drove home 4 miles up hill when got home felt gearbox sump...

Yh will do got all the corrugated steel for free from bloke down the bottom as he took his old barn down so that was a bonus going for 25 foot by 15 foot roughly so should give me a decent sized workshop, have worked for myself before so not new to me

Welding has been on stop for a while got laid off from work so have stepped up building the workshop and ope ING up my own garage so digger is arriving tomorrow and then 12 tonne of concrete Saturday with timbers to follow in the week so been a lot of paperwork stuff more than actually getting...

Mines is on stop at present started a new job for 4x4 specialist in land rovers I'm a gluten for punishment haha, got weekends but weather here is crap did pick another chassis up a few weeks ago very cheap to cut and use for likes of outriggers and boot floor supports though come with axles...

In all fairness yours is in a lot better condition I've still got the body to go as well and that's pretty bad too

I've went through about 300 slitting discs and not even half way through yet

If these are looked after they are pretty good few common issues but all easy fixes to be fair start stocking up on cutting and flap discs that's your first bit of advice

It's a long way from finished but once done will be good for another 20 years yours don't look anywhere near as bad so wouldn't need to go to that extent
