    Hi Hippo, many thanks for your reply, already removed the entire prop assembly inc VCU, I'm just a little unsure regarding the need for a blanking plate unless of course the IRD output shaft / pinion is damaged, If the insurers are happy with the conversion surely VOSA would be as well. Thanks D

    Hi all,new to the site and was wondering if anyone can advise me on the subject of conversion to 2WD on my Freelander. I see that you can remove the output shaft from the IRD and replace with a blanking plate but I'm wondering if it's worth doing as i only look towards the 2wd option as a temp...
