If you want to know where it’s leaking, fill it up with water and see where it comes out.

Is there really no easier way to do this??
I just spent a morning extracting and then draining the coolant - post 2012 with no easy access hose on the now deleted fuel cooler. Workshop manual doesn’t cover the later engine.
Heater on and set to hot. Bleed screw open.
I pulled about 4 litres...

Evening all
Puma 2.2 2015
I have just noticed (after 7 years) a cryptic sticker by the rad when you open the bonnet.
What do they mean “Do not drain?”
Is that to keep cats safe?
Or have Landrover invented an antifreeze you never need to change?
Or is it to make you pay for a service at the...

That’s what I think too and not much more than the adjuster plates. Many thanks

I wonder if anyone can help on this.
I have a 2015 110 with a standard LR fitted tow bar.
I need to fit an adjustable Dixon Bate slider for the trailer height 4” down from where I am today.
Do I need the full DB Towbar with the bracing arms, or will the standard LR bracing bars do the job? And...

Sorry this should be in the Landrover section. I’m reposting over there. Apologies.

Hi all
Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
My problem - 2014 Defender on any mid heat setting its blowing hot air at the driver from the dash vents and cold air on Mrs Rusty. When switched to cold it does eventually blow cold. When switched to full heat, we fry, so the fast that the middle...

Yes - sorry for the long delay!
It needed a new motor. About £110 from a main dealer somewhere in Kent. That did the trick. Now wiping perfectly.
I did try to replace the plastic gear inside with a new one, but that was not the problem.
However, the washer was another problem as it goes though...

The problem - rear wiper runs an odd cycle and won't stop in the same place twice. Also won't run a single sweep wipe - keeps going through the 4 wipes cycle at ignition on and on steering column lever push.
I have stripped and cleaned the rear wiper motor (what a lot of rusty muck!) replaced...

Gearbox finally gave up. Couldn't move. So am replacing the soft german cheese lined TC with a new Spanish hard cheese version or so I am told - and a fully overhauled gearbox. All work done by Toutain 4x4 in Pau.

The chap from Pau also said that if there is no noise accompanying the hesitation, then its the gearbox and not the TC....

Update -
I have been onto the LR guy in Pau who wants 5200 euros to supply and fit rebuilt box and new heavy duty TC. Thats £ 3800 which sounds less than 5200 but is still quite a lot.
However, its a new TC, not remanufactured. One year warranty on both.
Obviously these boxes cost less in the...

Couple of days in January, admittedly. But driving up to go skiing in the Pyrenees can get a bit hairy - or just downright dangerous - if I don't have something with a bit of grip.

2003 RR - and the wheels are very corroded in the inner sides.
Can I get these blasted and recoated? Or am I better off getting some new ones?
Live by the sea which doesn't help!
And winter tyres - anyone running Nokian WR SUV 3 ?
Thats on the original 18" rims
