    Fortunately I am a member of the RAC, and the salesman told me that the current Defender is possibly the best that Land Rover have produced. Is there a published list of the most common faults found on new Defenders?

    Thanks for your welcome as well Jane. Since my last post I've found out that the Defender is now classed as commercial, and currently attracts a VED of £225. I'm going for the basic 90" hard top in keswick green, what accessories should I get other than a tow hitch?
