    vcu test? white marks

    i put some white marks on the vcu as it seems tight on lock, (i know this is normal, but i thought i would check) drove forward and back 5 times, on lock etc etc, about 5 metres at speeds of 5mph max, lines are lined up, have i got a problem , or just not excersised it enough

    having read posts on here, tightening on full lock means vcu which can lead to other nasties, after contacting the dealer , (car under warranty) he says its perfectly normal, and no need for any attension, anyway i have requested he has a look at it, so i would like a little more info from you...

    where is the best place mail order / online to get a PRT and seals etc etc as they dont look to hard to fit, and could some one point me in the direction of a good coolant bleeding guide.

    purchasing a warranty ???

    i have just purchased a 1999 1800 freelander, it comes with 3 month cover, but warranty wise for £285 do this cover for 12 months, has anyone used them before? or better still claimed from them? the car has had a replacement head gasket 2k ago, I will fit a remote thermostat... cover as follows...

    how much do landrover charge to fit the remote thermostat, i have just picked up my 1.8, petrol freelander, it had a head gasket done a few months back by a non landrover dealer but there is no way of know what type of gasket was used, so i may fit this or have it fitted if its no too expensive...
