Simple question really, will a front diff from a TD5 Disco 2 fit my 300Tdi Disco 1? They're both 24 spline I think but I have a suspicion Land Rover will have fiddled about with the fitting bolts, etc. Having a spot of bother sourcing an actual 300tdi one but there seem to be plenty of TD5...

I might have hit another snag. If the thingy I think is the bonnet switch IS the bonnet switch then it too has had its wires cut. The thingy in question is on the right. Now if this is the bonnet switch I'm guessing it might be faulty and might be the culprit for the sounder wires being cut...
