I have finally managed to wire up my washer jet! They have never worked since I purchased the 90 and gave up chasing the old wiring so repurposed some redundant rear light wiring and connected the pump to one of the vacant switches. Hey presto...

I think my added difficulty was it was a pickup conversion to hard top so possibly not everything square. We did our best. Definitely needs two people. Wife was very thrilled to be a prop for the afternoon.

I have had the truck cab version over 6years now & cant fault it.has a moulding for radio & speakers. Not covered it with fabric. Yep they are pricy… but worth it.

Yes front one and rear two halves. Also full fitting across back over door with finishing trim as well. Yes I fully insulated the room. Also treated to carpet in rear!

Yes. Most of the secondhand ones were being sold for a reason! I had been looking for a while but people wanted crazy amounts for ones available and then would have needed re covering. Luckily no safari lights as hard top so slightly easier to...

Hi. No they are fibre glass painted in a range of different finishes. After first hour felt like binning it but at £500 thought I had better persevere. Two more hours later. Benefit is it is waterproof apparently.

Today I fitted a LaSalle headlining into the 90. It was a real PITA to fit. Just as one bit was ok the holes didn’t line up in the back two parts. It would almost have been easier if they hadn’t pre drilled the holes. In now and looks good i...

I have just spent the best part of the day putting a Lasalle headlining in my 90 which didn’t have one when I bought it. A real pig of a job trying to line up front to rear (in two parts). Now done, please but exhausted.

Thanks. That may be easier I guess and not much more in terms of cost. I suppose it will also help the next owner.

Yeah I’ve seen the videos to change the sensor. Doesn’t look like it can be done without removing the hub. I will get a new one and see if obviously damaged.

Yes. He had to work quite hard to get the ball joint out so likely he knocked it. I need to do a service ready for sale so I will replace the sensor then. Luckily quite cheap part.

Hi My d2 was in today having the ball joint replaced and has come back with abs warning light quickly followed by the other two amigos! Must have known I was going to sell her as I have my defender arriving tomorrow. I assume the wheel sensor...

Capable SUV and Evoque do not belong in the same sentence as far as I’m concerned!
  • new to all this
Ladies and gentleman, I give you the evoque.😂 Not the smaller capable suv I suspect we imagined.
  • new to all this
Bit bigger I guess. Enough room for a dog and a passenger but not much else. It’s only two doors.

… think I would have gone for it too, over a new Jimny

There's a thread going on a NZ Landie forum posted by a fella, who's not had a 4wd before and wants to buy 1. He had looked at a new 5 door Jimny at $45k but then his boss said that he was changing his 2004 V8 D2 HSE (in immaculate condition)...

Great s Great stuff. Everyone thought I was mad but I have really enjoyed having it as my daily driver just not so much on longer journeys. If I had the need I would keep it along with the puma and 90 200tdi but I wouldn’t be able to keep them...

I test drove one a few years ago and was very disappointed by the fit and finish of what was meant to be a high end suv. It was quite cramped inside too. For the money I would probably stick with a more reliable SUV like Audi or Skoda which...

I also did the thermostat when I purchased her as it was dropping randomly. That is a job and a half as you know (plus a saving of the skin off your knuckles) so peace of mind. Egr blanked too. Headlight bulbs upgraded to night breakers which...

Hi I have just taken the plunge and bought a puma 90. That means that sadly my D2 I bought last year to get me through will need to go as I also have a 1987 90. I’m in East Sussex so just posting to give advance warning of sale! Had the...

Thank you. Looking forward to it although I will feel sad to let my d2 go but can’t have three landrovers.

Well done on the purchase. I hope you enjoy it. Update on my side. I decided to go with my heart and I have purchased a 2012 defender with a view to hopefully keeping it for longer and having more confidence in doing things myself. Currently...

Thanks. I will have a look. Are they as exposed as on d2 which run along the chassis across front. Having just changed these I would like to avoid a similar situation as they were a real pain to change requiring the entire cooling front part of...

Well done on the purchase. I am going to have another look at the end of the week and possibly will be joining you. This thread has really helped give a measured and insightful view on the pros and cons so thank you.

Went for a 2nd test drive this evening. Yeh, 1 thing I noticed about the F2 is the wing mirrors don't 'work' as well as the F1. They don't appear to be as wide, more square than 'landscape' view and will take some time to get used to. Nice...

I agree. I also feel quite a lot more vulnerable in a normal car not being able to see more of the road etc. i am not sure what the future is as there is nothing beyond the Fl2 or td5 in the LR that I would be happy with. Can’t imagine in 5-10...

The one I am looking at is an HSE so should come with all of that which is good. I enjoyed the ride height too which I was worried about coming from a d2 and I thought it would be more car like but it didn’t feel low at all.
