have you checked turbo and intercooler hoses? they can delaminate inside causing air starvation, they still look normal from the outside. you have to look inside them.

i think the waste gate opens a flap to release gases, it might not be opening inside, some one on here will know more about turbos?

hi,again.i checked all the wiring, it looked ok, the only thing i noticed was the legs of the resister where touching , must have been when i taped up when id finished. i pulled them apart and tried it again, still the same, tick over too high. could i have blown the resistor or somthing? no...

hi, ive just finished doing your fix on my p38 diesal, it works fine,the glow plugs come on when the engine is warm now,they didnt before. also the revs have gone up on tickover, from about 750rpm to 1100rpm. is this normal? or have i done something wrong?
