any news on the lane clearing day you were talking about MHM?
-
Well this thread stirred up far more than just the peat I was stuck in!
I am aware of how LZIR procedures work, although with crap signal, covered in mud and help on the way, replying was the least of my concerns at the time (I also then had a week of holiday to proceed with once un-stuck).
No...

We are out now thankfuly. Sorry, I was trying not to get my phone too muddy and signal was crap as TMHM said. A nice fisherman in a Discovery 4 with a tiny ATV winch managed to pull us out.
FYI...15 meters from solid ground...not tarmac, that was a further few hundred meters away

After a really stupid move, we are stuck in the mud at Dunnet Head (near John O Groats) any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
About 15m from hard ground
Thanks

I won't be able to make either, as I will be changing the clutch on the 12th and at a wedding on the 19th. Hope you all have a good time ;)

Why not look at swapping to a NAS style receiver. That way the drop plate for your tow ball could be removed as and when with one simple pin. Thats what I will be doing in the coming months anyway.
-
Not overly. Happy to come help with clearing
-
If you go out again, I'm located in Reading and would love to come along :)

I haven't managed to find anything regarding rain rail weights. The weights quoted in the manual are for the standard through roof racks
-
What sort of ratio do you add it at?
-
No need to be skeptical about MOT charges. The actual slots from vosa cost £2.05 and £54.85 is the maximum the garage are allowed to charge for the service. Never understood why people pay more than £30 for them.
-
You can buy the plug for it on ebay as well

Sorry to be a buzzkill to the possibly very pretty polished dog guard fittings...but I have some standard dog guard fittings in my disco that I will never use.
Let me know if its helpful. No hard feelings if you want some shiny ones, I would too :p

Andy from Grove Auto Engineering refurbs linkages and can fit them with bushes which are modified to be greasable. Worth giving a shout.
