    LPG Problems

I had a misfire when running on gas, a new set of heavy duty ignition leads sorted the problem. I think I paid about £25 for the set as I recall. If you haven't already tried them it may be worth a go.

Check the earthing on the rear light clusters. If the earth is poor you will get all kinds of funny symptoms.

    Discovery Full Service

I've used Whites in Dalry for MOT work, great service and not expensive. It may still be worth doing it yourself though, assuming you've got somewhere to do it. It's not difficult and you will know it's been done properly.

    Oil where the headlight lives???

Check the oil coolers, they are between the radiator and air con radiator but their push-on connectors are just behind the radiator and above the steering box.

disco 2 v8 transfare box oil

Yes, it's the handbrake cable. Let the handbrake off to make it easier to move. Make sure you leave the car in a low ratio gear to keep it still while you crawl underneath:eek:

    LPG Problems

Me again, :DI had this very system fitted to my Disco in 2006 by Alan at Stenhouse motor Co. Slateford Road Edinburgh EH14 1QA 0131 443 3372. Not the cheapest by any means, in fact probably one of the dearest but he did a good job and the system appears to work OK. It may be worth giving him...

How do I remove a D5 viscous fan?

I've just done mine on a D2 V8, the thread was a normal right hand thread. I used a file across the small bolt heads to hold the pully still while I used the big spanner on the fan nut, it comes apart with a slip, as if the spanner had slipped. then I just spun the fan off. Hope this helps...

    Discovery 2 Head Gasket

I have to ask, why did you take the heads off in the first place? Was there a problem? If the engine has not overheated and you took the heads off in the right sequence I would not bother with getting the heads skimmed, although it would give you piece of mind if you do. I have just opened...

    disco 2 v8 breather pipes

I have the same pipe on my D2 It appears to be a fuel return for the TD5 engine, redundant on the V8.

Not the compression or engine No, they are stamped on the left side of the block between the exhaust manifold branches. Thanks for the reply though.

    Long clutch, short legs. Help!

I take it you have checked that the drivers seat is at its lowest position? You may be more able to use the clutch pedal if you adjust the seat base to tilt up at the back.

    Clutch over heating?

This is assuming the cap on the eezybleed matches that on the master cylender..... it doesn't on the Disco II/TD5, hence (cheap) the cycle tube bodge.
