Ran it out of fuel on last switch off so carb was empty and it was stripped and cleaned 🤔
I leave the fuel in my lawn mower over winter and it starts no problem every spring
Don't know what the problems are, maybe insects crawling in for the winter because it was stored outside
-
I bought a brand new ((old stock) briggs and stratton engine cheap
It ran perfect, I parked it for the winter and come spring it would rev but wouldn't tick over
Tried everything, eventually bough cheap carb off internet and it's run perfect ever since

Mornin
Lovely day here
More tinkering with little Landy today, might get the body refitted :)
Grass needs cuttin and I'm letting the border run wild this year, some interesting stuff coming up 🤔
Stay alert all :D

Should have clarified
Pushrod engine with hydraulic lifters, engine stripdown to get at them 😟
They'll free up with an engine run I think, only ran it for 30 secs or less.
-
Would you believe it ??
Trying to set tappets on my little landy Kohlar engine only to find that they are hydraulic lifters 🤔
I'll have to flush the engine and put fresh oil in to see if that solves the noisey tappet problem, it's been stood quite a while so maybe it'll get better with running.

Bit of a tip here for you
When lying on yer back welding sheet steel to the underside of yer van don't do it wearing just a tee shirt 🤔
Had to use several plasters on me arms to cover the flesh wounds
-
Went to the Frost warehouse for them, they had em on offer so I thought why not.
Need to be safe and they give me extra space when I shuffle underneath :)
-

I'm thinking they are concentrating on ordinary standard vehicles which are easier to process

Footman James wouldn't do mine even though they insured it with previous owner, they are saying they don't do special vehicles any more
