MOT fail if rear door will not open from outside?

I've just asked the question to the MOT examiner I use and he said any door which fails to open from the outside results in a fail. Occupants can not be removed in the event of an accident. Stupid in my view, with many self locking systems or people locking the door anyway would also inhibit...

Some kind of active balancer device fitted to rear? Confused..

I think tyres make all the difference. I'm using a new shape X5 at the minute and they tyres let it down miserably, I have absolutely no confidence in the car whatsoever. A friend of mine who is using a new LR Sport has had a set of winter tyres/wheels fitted and the difference between the two...

Some kind of active balancer device fitted to rear? Confused..

On the very rear of a D3, literally as far back as you could possibly go there are (or was on this one) 2 large cast, what look to me like weights? Pretty sure they were attatched to the chassis and are able to partialy rotate around 90 degree's either way. Does anyone know what the ****...

Remote central locking wiring fault and the way round it.

The car in question was a 2005 D3 HSE TDV6, the fault started as an intermitent one but over the space of a couple of weeks it eventually failed altogether. After a little digging I found the remote keys can fail after 5-7 years approx, they recharge themselves when in the ignition and the...
