my air con stopped working whilst driving. the light on the dashboard switch will not illuminate when the button is pressed. ive never had a problem with air con before so i dont know exactly what to look for. is it just the one fuse under the bonnet? or are there others or relays i should check?

hi all. i have a 1999 1.8 petrol freelander. just wondering if anyone knows roughly how long the car will idle for before the fans kick in? ive owned it 2 months but i have never heard the fans start. i can leave it idling for 15-20 mins and they still dont start. im not sure whether its just...

I have tested the fuel pump after it cuts out and there is no power to it. so im guessing this rules out the pump being the problem?

I will def test it. but why would it only do it when the engine reaches operating temp?

also forgot to say that as it cuts out before the fans kick in i don't know if this could be a related problem? the fans run if i disconnect the brown plug on the temp sender. but ive never managed to get the car hot enough for the fans to kick in on their own as it wont idle for long enough...

i dont think it is running rich. i did fit a new sensor about a month ago(brown plug) but it was just from my local motor factors. how can i test it? thanks for the reply
