I had a damper cause an annoying rattle that I had chased for months. I bought a used one from a scrappers that fixed the problem.
Easiest way to fix it is turn the radio up and rip the knob off.
Check the multitude of threads on here about VCUs. The prop will have been removed to either prevent damage to the transmission, or because damage has already been done to the transmission.
I have a similar tale of a near miss from a snapping cable. This one could have been horrendous. I was an apprentice in a boat yard that built fishing boats and yachts. We'd just completed a 33ft fast fishing boat and it had been wheeled out of...
Mine is beginning to collect an alarming number of clunks, rattles and bangs. They mainly come from the back.... no the front... no the back... well both I think. Just getting more and louder to a point where I'm going to have to stop ignoring...
Is that the black 2006 one in Looe? If so it looks great for the age and mileage. The interior looks nowhere near like a 165k car. I'd be the same though. It has to be 2005 or older because of the tax.
I allowed my infinitely better half to drive my FL2 down to Norfolk from Argyll. I cunningly reset the trip computer just before she left so it'll be interesting to see what mpg she achieves. I've been averaging 34.2 for the past couple of...
This afternoon a great Sage assisted me with this ongoing auto box issue. My suspiscions were that fluid levels may be playing a part in the whine that is occuring. We discovered that the box was overfilled by approx 1L. Hurrah I thought. All...

Just looking at how "modular" the build is in places, did you condsider using multi plugs/connectors so you could easily remove a box with the components in for repair etc?
At one point back in the day, I was car-less - I think it was because I'd crashed my 1850HL rather than one of them breaking down.
I was lent a Mini Clubman Estate to use from a friend up the pub. Was a fun little thing, the ignition was a...
Аbout a week ago, the battery charge light came on. But I didn’t have time to take the car to the masters, so for several days, after the working day, I charged the battery from the charger) eventually found time and made an appointment. At 9⁰⁰ I...
Hi, hope your keeping well, yeah sure is as it has all the prices as well. I've noticed a lot of genuine bits on flea bay are often over priced & some s/h bits are close to new or dearer ! I always check before buying bits.
So I've managed to source a replacement which will be arriving tomorrow. I will need to inspect it upon arrival but if it's okay I will be getting it shot blasted, and depending on the price I may get it thermal metal sprayed. There are a couple...
