    just a thought, have you checked the rate of flow through the rad ? making sure it is all free and no blocked vanes, also flow through the heater matrix, check for blockages obviously lack of hot air when engine is up to temp is lack of coolant, through either air lock, low coolant level or ...

    Bloody marvellous thanks, yes it is a 2 button fob for a late 97 3.9 v8. Is the said unit behind the glove box on the sidewall ? I was informed it could be or is that on an older model ? thanks again .. Paul

    Hi, does anyone know what I can expect to find in the black box that controls the gas ( the brain ) and into which the coil wire enters before leaving to go to the ignition ? Is there a fuse in there or an external inline fuse enroute to the ignition ?? .. thanks .. Paul.

    Hi there, thought I would start a new thread with this as I caused the problem through trying to cure another. My 97 3.9 disco with single point gas conversion will now not turn over let alone start, I turn the key and all lights up, everything on the car works but there is no power to the coil...

    Forgot to mention, I have not OVERHEATED the engine, as I always drive with one eye on the road and the other on the temp guage, this is because I have had range rovers in the past lol.
