In hindsight I wish I had seen these. Since they are black they would disappear better underneath the dash and they are a good bit more similar to the original clips I pried off when removing the old damaged vinyl. Thanks.

Sure. Here is a picture from eBay. Originals were much smaller than this and less obvious because they were black. Could find any like those. You can see these in my truck if you get low and look up under the dash, so I plan to paint them with black paint to make them less obvious. These clips...

Thanks much. Vinyl is 3/16th foam backed “marine” vinyl ebony black. I would probably choose a little thinner foam in hindsight as it’s a bit squishy. I do like it though as it does cover the rough spots well.
For the instrument panel here is a view of it. The switches bring those Lucas ones...
