Been running 50/50 mix for last 3 months, no problems thus far. I don't use waste oil only fresh. 110 Defender 300tdi.

My local Asian shop has fresh oil in 20 litre drums for £20.00 quid a pop, so saving about 40p per litre. I run my 300TDI on 50/50 Derv/Veg. Not noticed any difference in performance or economy.

My 1995 Defender 110's got this, only other way round, drivers side warm(ish), passenger side cold. Checked all pipes ok. Had a p gasket problem a while back. Once changed the old rusty coolent was replaced. I'm thinkin that some of the "crud" might be blockin the matrix. Plan to back flush it...

Sorry all was meaning to say 110 Defender with 162,000 started at minus 4 on 50/50 svo diesel no worries. I would not recommend anyone to try this, my personal choice. If it fails I pay, but will keep you all up to date. That said, all my reasearch says ok at 50/50.

300 tdi has the right pump, would be happy to advise as time goes on. My gut feelinn, ok on on 50/50 mix.

Hi I do the same mix up in 20 litre tins, then pour in. I only use new SVO oil in mine, so use the tins it comes in to mix. I started with 10% SVO and gradually increased to 50%. SVO is £1.00 per litre, so saving 35 pence over pump prices we pay here. I would advise to gradually increase...
