i bought tuning chip on ebay and found that it uses the primer pump under the back wheel arch to give you more power pump burnt out after 7 months when it first happened i had a lot of the problems you have had have fitted new pump now got rid of chip

Problem solved pump takes about 60-90 seconds to stop priming. Also never fit cheap as chips engine chip from ebay you get more power because they use the primer pump to pump fuel faster and pump will burn out after about 7 months expensive way to learn

I've got TD4 in my 03 Freelander and driving around the South Wales valleys I get about 34 mpg and I just towed a caravan to Newquay Cornwall from South Wales on just over half a tank.

I have just had my third pump fitted and was told that I should only hear the pump when it is priming and then it should stop. My pump can be heared pumping all of the time have I still got a problem to sort out and if so what or is it ok.
