I work around the SDR by not fixing broken bits I can live with.
The SDR monitors that there are broken bits and therefore waits for them to be fixed before breaking the next bits.
So I never have any serious problems with my Freelander ;)

The engineering on these includes a very important feature - the SDR (Self Destruction Regulator). This module ensures that as soon as anything is fixed, something else breaks...
Fitted a new aftermarket MAF officially 100% sorting the Freelander in this particular moment in time. EVERYTHING WORKS! recon VCU, recon injectors, new heated screen, aircon, new brake lines, new tyres, new bushes, aftermarket parking sensors...

In the end 4 reman Lucas injectors went in and that has cured the puff of grey smoke on start-up and the missing at 1000rpm.
No smoke now, no miss seems to run fine - now only the MAF is to be fixed. No...

My MAF is unplugged at the moment and I get -40C for temp but the MAF reading is still there.
Fluctuates in the 400-500+ range - is this normal? Should it be a N/A or a solid/emergency figure?
