The P38A is modular so each computer works separately. Most systems are the same across diesel and petrol with the exception of the EMS and the HEVAC on the GEMS and even then I think the way the HEVAC communicates with diagnostics is the same.
Made a boot divider to stop the big lump of a dog we've rehomed squashing the slightly smaller lump of a dog we rehomed a couple of years ago.
The frame is 16mm x 1.4mm square box - about £8.50's worth, the mesh was repurposed from a L319 boot...
Unfortunately Turner's rebuilds have been the subject of comment for some years now. V8 Developments seem to be the preferred choice at the moment, albeit they have something of a waiting list issue.
Iv realised iv not updated this for ages so a few things iv done so far and a few still left todo.
I picked up a set of refurbed wheels so swopped the new tyres over to those glad I did as iv just not had time to sort the original curbed ones.
I...
Injector screws into the ally head. I've got a feeling RAVE says 60 nm in one place and 70 nm in another. Pretty sure I went 60 nm on mine and they've been fine. I didn't even anneal mine, just torqued them up on the new head.
@Slooby rebuilt his with a kit from here https://www.turborebuild.co.uk/webshop/prod_3444877-Turbo-Repair-Rebuild-Service-Repair-Kit-fits-TD04-Mitsubishi-Turbocharger-Bearings-and-Seals-Flat-Back.html

13.8V is the old alternator set point. Not enough for a calcium battery. You can replace the alternator regulator to give 14.3 or even 14.5V but it will only have the same power so takes longer to charge a big 1k CCA battery. Replacing the...
I have a 2000 4.6 auto Petrol P38 Icelandic Blue Vogue Code 621 colour built on 30th August 2000 left the factory with 18" Hurricane wheel rims and has done 98,000 miles.
If it won't unlock then it's the one on the tailgate that is about the size of an old tape cassette, if it's the keyless start not working, then it's the one above the headlining.
Intermittent faults can be the worst to nail down, try tracking...
Sounds more like the FIP is tired or the chains are stretched so far the modulation goes out of range. Need diagnostics but you might get away with tapping the FIP ever so slightly towards the engine but that just puts off the inevitable. Better...
Well after weeks of waiting for parts the first steps to getting everything back together were made today.
These are the little f***ers that get loose over time:
Partnumber TYP000010, still available at Land Rover. I bought new ones as they...
Not entirely what I meant. Like Dan I was home-based for 13 years but went out on client site until the lockdown. A lot comes out when you work in an office together that doesn't come out online. Plus, the youngsters in the office (or at home)...
Woking from home depends on the character of the individual, some work harder than normal to prove they can be trusted, others don't give a feck and do as little as possible, I had 5 home workers that were very successful and a couple who were not.
No, another missed opportunity. Mind you, there are no charge points, no hydrogen fill points and not enough green generation of either for projected vehicles and pretty soon firms are going to realise work from home doesn't work long term.
American markets all had 1515. No idea where your car came from though. I think there was another default code used in another market (Japan maybe) but I cannot recall that code. Sometimes people write it on top of the BECM or inside yhe fusebox...
