    Waxoyl - It's a Miracle

Bilthamber do the Dynax 50 as well as a very good rust treatment called Hydrate 80. Let's see how it goes - there's certainly been enough salt tossed onto the roads to show up any failings. I certainly found that all the small cracks and gaps between body joints, frames, etc. filled really...

    Forward facing load bay seats

I'll have to figure out how to post pics, not done it before. They are Defender 90/Series - I replaced them with bench seats to fit more people in. Very straightforward fitting.

    Waxoyl - It's a Miracle

Dynax seems (according to various searches) seem to offer the best long term proofing - it certainly went on well but only time will tell how good it really is.

    Forward facing load bay seats

Really don't know - basic ones seem to be about £250 a pair now so I am guessing at £100 with the belts?

    Forward facing load bay seats

Two forward-facing fold-up seats for Defender 90 or 110. Black vinyl on black steel frames, quite basic so Eustace may not like them for the ride to prep school. Some gaffer tape on the front edge of the squab on one of them but fully serviceable and with two sets of excellent inertia reel three...

    Waxoyl - It's a Miracle

Four months after taking custody of our Ninety I am still finding uses for waxoyl (actually Dynax). Obviously it has been liberally blasted around the underside since Land Rover decided the bare metal look was the in thing for chassis' in 1992, also inside the bulkhead when the stupid rusty...

    Plywood Linings and Bench Seats

can't see any safety/strength issue though if just screwed to ply - as long as they can't come lose and whack you in the head:D That was my guess too, I am reluctant to pull the ply and insulation off for what I suspect would be a marginal increase in strength.

    Plywood Linings and Bench Seats

Just bought some ***tpart bench seats for my 92 Defender 90 (they seem a little short compared to the overall length but others I've seen are too..) and the instructions refer to slots in the tub side for locating the back BUT the rear is currently ply lined so no slots to fix to. Any views on...

BF Trac Edge tyre or Equivalent

Got the Ebay one - thanks for the link - it is (apparently) new, balanced, and on a Landy wheel so can go straight on the back door. Found a courier called Wheelcourier.com who seem reasonable value for shipping.

Many thanks, I spoke to Clive and will be booking the job in soon. Let's hope he doesn't find too much rot...

BF Trac Edge tyre or Equivalent

The Defender I recently bought has four good BFG Trac Edge (7.50 r16) but the spare is an illegal 205 albeit on a decent rim. Anyone out there have a decent similar tyre to use as a spare?

OK, thanks for that. BTW. Does anyone know what the proper height for a Defender 90 on 7.50x16s should be, say at the (hard top) roof or rear crossmember? I still think mine's a bit high, so does my dog.

Excellent, many thanks Surreyrock. BTW. For a 92 Defender 90 on 7.50 16s what is the chassis (say at the rear xmember) or hard top roof height? It still feels a bit tall to me (and my dog).

My dog walks tall even tho he's a short arse. He is now brave enough to jump out but getting in still defeats him. I suppose he is 10 now. Re Pressbrake, I'm sure it's just me but I can't find him on Ebay or figure out how to send a message on this forum - does someone have a contact number...

Thanks for that, I haven't owned a Landy before (been bounced around in enough tho) so it's a steep learning curve at the moment. Does Pressbrake fit them too or just make them?
