I replaced egr with eBay s/s one. Cleaned out a LOAD of carbon crud at the same time. Made a noticeable improvement in mpg and driving. 2 stroke used now also. 05 td4 auto getting mid 30's that is mainly town driving and pulling a trailer part of the time.

MB garage took my day car winter wheels off last Saturday and fitted the summer wheels/tyres. THEY said it ought to be done to prevent premature wear on the winter tyres. Why I listen to that bunch of thieving fecks year in year out I don't know.... FL on the drive just in case :)

I had a Motorola fitted. Recommended by the fitter. He said they have less call backs compared to parrot. Motorola one seems pretty good. Maybe the fitter earns more on these than the parrot ones ? :)

Update : Dakar put in a replacement cable. No charge. All fixed. :)

Thanks. I'll have a peek underneath. Thought I'd check first to ensure no spring loaded flange caramels or whatever will explode in my face when I try to lift off the gear selector shroud. :)
